The Dwarf loach is one of the smallest of the loaches, only growing to about 5cm. It is a very good scavenger, ideal for community aquariums. Peaceful with an active playful manner, it prefers to be in a small school. Native to northern Thailand, this fish is considered endangered in the wild, but thankfully is now being bred in good numbers for the aquarium trade.

The Mono Sebae is characterised by an extremely deep body and long dorsal and anal fins when mature.
